Hi guys it’s Michael from MGM1. Today we’re at the cannery. We’re going to visit a business called the Cosmos Clinic. It’s a beauty centre. We’re going to go see what they’ve got to offer and see if they can work with this. Well guys here we are Cosmos Clinic at Roseberry and we’re going to go inside and speak to Carilla who’s one of the practitioners. Come on in. Hi Carilla, lovely to meet you. Let’s go in and have a talk about your services. Sounds good. So Carilla here at Cosmos Clinic at Roseberry. What do you do? So at Cosmos Clinic Roseberry we offer quite a bit of a variety of different treatments. We do anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers. This is so basically outside the standard. We also do skin treatments such as dermal pin and PRP but we also offer liposuction consultations. Liposuction also. Wow. What qualifications do your staff need to have to give this sort of treatment? Those legislations can always change in Australia but you can either be a registered nurse or a doctor. We’re actually quite a big team and what I always like to say, well it’s me here being the practitioner at Cosmos Clinic Roseberry. We have such a great and big team where we have doctors and nurses with like years and years of experience and that is quite valuable to have and it just helps us so much if we can sort of like share our experiences with each other. What prompted the decision to set up here in Roseberry? I think Roseberry is just a great location because we’re sort of like between the eastern suburbs we’re also not too far away from the inner west either so it’s just sort of like a very central spot for patients to sort of like drive to. Most of our clients are from around the area but we also have a lot of walk-ins from the cannery coming in. Why is there such a popularity in cosmetic treatments? I mean they’re relatively quick to perform and you see results for most of the treatments that we do relatively quickly. There are certain other treatments where you need subsequent treatments to sort of like get the results that you’re trying to achieve but they’re a really really quick treatment to sort of like get changes. Who treats your skin because your skin’s glowing? I treat my own skin really. We sell really a great skincare line here at Cosmos Clinic and Roseberry as well and that is basically my favourite skincare line that I’m using. It’s mainly women but do you have men also turning up for treatments? Yes definitely. I feel like it’s getting a bit more popular with men as well. And what is it that most gents are coming in for? Dermal fillers?
